Well done GC. Mike Bass is a legend and I wish him all the best with his retirement and also good luck to his daughter taking over the reigns.

Perhaps another living legend, the great Terence Millard has been forgotten? He has been at the stairway to heaven but has made fighting comebacks and is still not in the pink of health.

Alas, all the many GR1 wins all over the country, more however in KZN will be forgotten but will remain in the honours roll and in the memories forever etched in the minds of racegoers who witnessed the likes of Empress Club, Occult, Devon Air, Illustrador, Royal Chalice, Fools Holme, Enchanted Garden, Right Prerogative, Sunera, Diorissimo, Ecurie, Up the Creek, Tecla Bluff, Taima Bluff, Saturado, Sandunguera, Jungle Warrior,Arctic Cove,Springing Leopard,Bimbina, Flying Snowdrop and Olympic Duel amongst others too numerous to mention.

Will the record number of wins in the Cape for the Paddock Stakes and Fillies Giuneas also remain unacknowledged , one wonders?

He has been a great trainer .........but importantly a great and nice man!!!
...........and Candice is the very positive result.......
Will no doubt remain a top stable.

A shining example :

I have no doubt Candice is top class but i doubt all owners will stay. Other trainers no doubt lining up to get the top owners to move at 1st sign of a slow down.
