Any horse that is scratched after a bet (PA, Bipot, Jackpot, P6) has commenced must also qualify for that bet...tote favourites can be manipulated as we have seen odd changes in dividends between the commencement of a race (even if pool shows Closed) and when results are posted...

Now if that happened here in SA and especially in GC country we would already have had a flood of posters commenting on how badly schooled our horses are, how bad our handlers are and it could only happen here etc! 1 eyed watching at its best!!!!
I was there, the starter has been given 20 lashes and had he's camel impounded for two weeks.

Craig bud, seriously, what is the point of this? I don't care what happens in Meydan, I don't care about camel racing in Outer Mongolia or Guinea Pig sprints in Peru etc... why talk about Meydan when there is clearly so much in "your" own backyard that evidently needs urgent attention?
Comparisons are fine but not when they are being used to simply help "justify" (?!?!) ones own problems.

Couldn't agree more with you Engels. I actually enjoyed the show with the 2 pony riders and how they reined in the runaway horse.
Now there's something that S.A. racing can emulate.

I think outriders just increase the risk of injury to loose horses. Just let the loose horse run to its stable.

Yup Craig, I get the chirping side of it. Unfortunately though, as with many others I believe in my 4 years here, the "smile" that I started SA racing with has all but disappeared.
I am no longer that interested in smiling about it in truth though bud. I want action and at the very least communication. I want to hear what is being done in SA to rectify all the issues at the start, I want to know what is happening with the Scottsville track, I want transparency and early information posted regarding going etc, I want different status reports for the going on non-turf tracks rather than simply "standard" all the time etc etc etc etc etc. I see none of these things as particularly difficult to resolve but I don't see much changing and I hear even less.
You chirp about Meydan on a day that at the Vaal I lost two runners (bets) to late scratchings, another who broke about 4 lengths after the rest of the field and another who broke through the stalls but ran. In a 9 race card! It doesn't make me smile mate.
Craig, I apologise my sense of humour in SA racing has gone, I would like it back even more than you probably!

{ratatatatatat goes the baseball bat on an Englishmans head.....swift change of direction and a jab to the belly}.... I am sure your face is still sore from the grin your cricketers put on your face!

I can appreciate why the baseball bat is looming. But do not think too harshly on those of us who simply want to see improvements and have become grim-reaperly frustrated by the lack of action/information...
Should have won 4-0 but smiling anyway
