It must have been changed as,although I wasn't betting on Zimbabwe ,I happened to notice the result posted on Tellytrack ,shortly after the race ,and the result was 4-1 -.............together with a presenters comment that Eurakilon,the fav, ran 2nd ..........................and that is what the photo shows .......................I must have missed something in the meantime!

Hi Clanners
Hollywoodbets has taken into account the issue surrounding Race 5 at Borrowdale, with the official result versus the photo finish, and we have decided to do the following:
  1. Borrowdale - Sunday 17 January - Race 5
  2. EURAKILON (1) was declared the winner at 28/10. The result was official, and we paid out on this result.
  3. However on inspection on the photo (and mirror image), it clearly visible that PRINT THE POUNDS (4) at 6/1 should have been declared the winner.
  4. Hollywoodbets has made the decision to PAY OUT all fixed odds winning bets on PRINT THE POUNDS, as this should have been the correct decision.
  5. We are currently crediting accounts where fixed odds bets were taken on PRINT THE POUNDS. It should be completed this morning.
  6. All payouts on EURAKILON will stand.
  7. We are currently contacting our branches, who on presentation of tickets on PRINT THE POUNDS, will be paid out. Unfortunately if there is no ticket, we will not be able to pay out.
  8. All exotic and tote payouts will stand as is.

Official (judge/nhra) called the result as 1 the winner

IMO if mistakes like this can go through the system .. how confident can we as punters be that objections and other controversial issues are made correctly by individuals on duty for the day...

The objection rule is ridiculous - I've been watching racing long enough to "believe" I can call them... I can't. Inconsistent and open to error and interpretation and therefore speculation. Change the rules ASAP. You touch first you are out - !

As we have said so many times .................they need to eliminate as much subjectivity from racing as possible !
