El, your intentions are honourable enough but sadly there are issues which you are not aware of which might change some of your perceptions.
I am not at liberty to disclose them at this point but hope to be able to chat you in private some time or if not sub judice maybe on this forum some time in the future.
For too long horseracing has been conducted in a fashion to suit the elite and you either have to fit in or f..k off.
ABC did engage both the RA and Phumelela in the earlier days and got bogged off.
The policy of quiet diplomacy can be only be taken so far before it becomes useless and harmful (Mbeki and Bob are prime examples).
Nothing this board has done re correcting owners and punters rights leads me to believe that the incestuous relationship between the Corporate and the bodies representing racing stake-holders has changed, from the disgraceful election to current day. I dont regard a few sms' and the RA Room and after party as our salvation.
Without labouring a point, and this is probably becoming tedious, there are persons who are not prepared to accept the sliding situation re the stakes we race for or the disregard of free speech or the lack of adherence to good Corporate governance or Corporate law.
Persons with the courage to question are being discredited and ostracized.
The RA and Phumelela banned access to ABC the day after the AGM i believe.
Makes you think !
ABC is the only independent voice where you are allowed to question and ask questions and they have tried to shut us down (and yes he/they sit on the RA Board) and are trying to silence and discredit us.

I have no personal agenda with Ts . I'm sure over a drink he is a nice guy , it's just not right to use ABC to fight the RA over his own personal agenda with them.

Approach is key in all the matters raised.

I am 100 % certain we can get your issues across to the RA and you gentlemen can sit down and discuss this in a civil manner.

It all started off on a bad footing and trying to find out whose right and whose wrong does not help the matter. Instead accept that the relationship started of on the wrong footing and try to cement a decent platform for discussion.

At the end of it all Cuckoo you and the rest have the interests of racing at heart.
And thats all that should matter .

el P, with respect, ABC has no need to become a partner of any racing adminstration. We are a proudly independant horse racing website, independance is a key word, independant media has a role to play in aspects of society. ABC fills that role quite nicely in terms of SA Racing and has no plans to change.

I have been consistent in my debates with you . I do not post on behalf of anybody.

I have never met Clyde Basel, Larry Weinstein or anyone from the RA. The only person I am in contact with is Dr Nkosi a director of Phumelela who is a personal friend and client and we have no discussions regarding you or ABC.

TS please mate tell me why are MJ and CvN still on the board of Phum if they are not representing RA?..do you know...this question is worrying me??
