Dilligaf why don't you tell us why an all weather track cannot be used in all weather? While you nitpick and try divert the attention away from the obvious disaster that the poly has become, please let us know how a polytrack cannot be utilised apparently because of the grass pull up area and/or the difficulties of getting the tractor onto the poly during wet weather.
I would say this constituted brilliant planning, wouldn't you?

Guys all Craig done was report to you what he was told at a trainers meeting
The the poly couldn't be used on Sunday because they were scared that moving the stalls would damage the newly scarified grass surface

Bob I have nothing against Craig let's not make this personal it is not.
Let us also call a spade a spade. Imvho the reason we have the issues are clearly down to poor or no planning. We all dressed up with nowhere to go. If the all weather is not all weather and by that I mean all the associated issues around the meeting taking place, I have to ask why was poly installed? As a layman poly is there to save meetings not add to the abandoned.

Have to agree on the placement of the track.

Understood and appreciated!
What I don't understand is,why then, was my post stating that the problem with the Poly is the proximity to the turf track ,interpreted as "you don't want to see the truth"...please would somebody smarter than me explain what I am missing?
Where Gold Circle (and their sycophants) and I disagree, relating to the truth, is the true cause of the problems!
Lets re-cap a bit on the truth ...the repairs to the turf over the subway was 3 months behind schedule ....so was the turn at Scottsville and now "wet turf" problems inhibit the use of the Polytrack.
Every issue with Gold Circle is blamed on too much rain, and occasionally ,lack of it!
Newsflash: it has always rained ,and will continue to rain and so only EXTRAORDINARY weather patterns can be regarded as sudden and unforeseen...........and yet Gold Circle get caught out continually..........that ,to my mind is the truth!
Management includes managing risk, and erratic weather patterns are a continual risk so need to be contingent to all planning of tracks, surely.
When Gold Circle decided to participated in a Q and A session on Tellytrack, was that to convince just me,or was it to address a widespread perception?I don't think I am an orphan on this issue!
Sadly ,that interview had no credibility as they only related positive comments by anonymous trainers and ignored negative comment by MdK,Tarry and Azzie...WHY?
(Hard to forget that the negativity of Natal tracks was pooh-poohed by the same Mr Hawkins who is the person who stated "We will lose no more meetings in Gauteng" when Sand racing was introduced at the Vaal .......yeah right ,no more need be said)
It appears that there are many types of truth in racing!

Leon Festinger's theory of cognitive dissonance focuses on how humans strive for internal consistency. An individual who experiences inconsistency (dissonance) tends to become psychologically uncomfortable, and is motivated to try to reduce this dissonance—as well as actively avoid situations and information likely to increase it.
Until a BUCK STOPS HERE attitude is adopted by management, there will always be too much, rain, sun, wind, outside trainers stealing our stakes attitude.
Truly acknowledging that there is failure in the 1st place is the initial starting point.
Once you have been humbled by the facts that show that you weren't correct in your thinking/actions,you are more likely to take corrective steps to find solutions.
EGO is the downfall of many a man.
