Race 2 Sweet Jad Lady looks to have a poor draw, will need to be good to win imo

is she?

I can only see one runner with TGH entry, DONNY G race 6, who probably just needs to prep as his rating might be good enough for a run in the big race imo

To me it looks more open than first appears ...especially the last two races look very competitive...thoughts:

R1: Not convinced about Persian Approval - stable mate Matchmaker ran some fair races before his last two which were shockers, so could surprise and Okavango Delta comes out of a strong formline ....

R2: Also not convinced about Sweet Lady Jade ...draw a worry in a big field ... same for Goodness Me ; like Karma I also fancied Ordained , but she is not really finding any betting support - still must have a chance imo - a few first timers finding betting support and I think Fingers Crossed not without a chance either - so more open than the betting suggests

R3: Matador Man, and the 2 first timers the obvious three - but I think Mexican Sun has a big chance if repeating his debut effort

R4: Competitive handicap; Supanova my first choice from the draw but lots with chances

R5: Wrecking Ball will take a lot of beating imo - Annoucing Rain not really an 88 imo but could still prove the biggest danger

R6: Getting tougher as we move along.....Rafa overdue to win, but most must have some sort of chance

R7: Probably the most open race on the card - 9 horses below 10/1 says it all - load up

R8: Another competitive handicap - top 5 in the betting should fight it out

Enjoy B)

Will this even up things with the draw bias today?
False Rail: 12m in from 1600m to 500m with 12m spur at 500m mark

Personally, I don't think the draw bias on this course has been massive in recent meetings though I would still prefer a selection to be drawn high. That said, it can change from meeting to meeting...

Tend to agree with much of Frodo's summary. Only playing small, especially as at this time of year we have no idea which horses may or may not be affected by the jabs.

R1 Matchmaker e/w. I really don't know the answer but would Zechner be bumped off the more fancied one for Hewitson?
R2 Knysna Rose e/w - like the look of the debut run and Fortune booked.
R3 Mexican Sun e/w - like the look of the debut run and Fortune retains the ride dropping back to that distance. Obviously there are others with potentially big claims but I'll take my chances with MS.
R4 Gold Status, decent recent c/d form, won very well lto. Biggest danger could be Supanova especially with the blinkers removed.
R5 Wrecking Ball.
R6 Isca maybe.
R7 Beautiful Shay e/w. In a very tight looking contest, given the weights, draw and prices, I think the inform BS represents some value. There are quite a few dangers!
R8 Mr Balboa e/w. In a very tight looking contest, given the weights, draw and prices, I think MB represents some value. Back over this c/d from a potentially good draw he will, together with those mentioned in the first three races, round off any Azzie e/w yankee. Streetwear also represents some value imo and will be my exacta.

Be(s)t of luck to all

Thanks bud, did look at him when "studying". Has some ok half-siblings but no full siblings. I actually have him down with a ? which generally means if the price is ok I'll nibble and 33s on Betfair was nibbled :)

OMG there must have been 200m between 1st and last, not sure if it was the false rail that spread the field out in single file or too many horses taken to the track unfit?
