1 X 5 exacta boxed and the swinger. The 5 was trading at 35/1, there's been a flood of money for this one.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Thanks. Equinette was on the drift before the first race was run, not sure if anyone noticed that, the money horse was the winner, Lovin' Spoonful.
Anyway, we all live to fight another day.

The Equinette incident highlights one of the contradictions in the rules of UK racing. She went berserk in the stalls (apparently she was reported as being in season after the race), but was still allowed to run (with predictable consequences). If, however, she had broken through the front of the stalls, she would have had to have been withdrawn even if she had only gone two yards and done herself no harm at all. At least the race wasn't a complete disaster for me. With Lovin Spoonful left to win by eight lengths, I unexpectedly collected on my combined distances bet at Newcastle which covered most (but not all) of my losses on Equinette.

Steck if we have a horse that bursts the gates or goes crazy in the pens it's the vets call to give it ok after inspection

That's how it should be, Dave, but in the UK the vet has no say if a horse bursts through the front of the gate - it's a mandatory withdrawal by order of the stewards.
