My sympathy goes out to any jockey fighting out a finish with Ryan Moore.
There is no comparison to our riders here he [Moore] is leaps and bounds in front of our guys.If Luke Morris and Alan Kirby came to Greyville Polly they would have a high strike rate.

I totally disagree re Morris and Kirby , the average uk riders are very weak imo and our top boys would ride them to sleep but just my opinion

The question should be, how many SA jockeys would make it in the UK, which is arguably the best racing in the world. Not over the winter but from March through to October.

Maybe the younger guys as the jocks here ride in the afternoons then in the evenings as well and one of them will actually ride here on a Saturday jump on a plane and race in the US on the Saturday, return and be back racing on the Monday. You have to be extremely fit to race here. Day in and day out for 8 months of the year at times having 12 mounts plus the travelling between courses and some even ride work at 5 in the morning. (sun comes up at 330 am in the summer)

I would like to see Gavin Lerena ride here full time. I think that he would do very well.
