Did anyone ask Delpach the million rand question (well, to me anyway)...."Which horse would he PREFER to ride in the July?"
I may be wrong, but I sincerely doubt that Nightingale is his first choice

What is the point of JULY GALLOPS?
No one "gallops"their horse....
Most trainers dead against taking their horse to "show them off"
End result is you can step in a pothole on the outside of a bad racetrack and do your tendon

Hats off to Justin, he has brought all his runners in with ideal weights to be competitive in the July.
Ditto this.
Black Arthur looked fantastic. If he runs to what he looks like wow.

I watched his 2016 gallop and after that gallop last year, Lafferty and Kevin Shea were raving about what a good horse Black Arthur is and yet he was sweating and being a real handful for Delpech.
This years gallop was so much better.

Not too many experts predicted either Power King or The Conglomerate.
Graham Hawkins predicted both these winners and this year he fancies Safe Harbour.
Interesting, a 3yr old filly, I would have thought he would have leant to either EON or AS.
Graham Hawkins selection is the Conglomerate
