Your reasoning is very sound. I think the line horse though is easy street, on my reckoning this put's Favour's Pride and Oklahoma Sky in the picture - both seem okay on the soft ground. However - I am looking closely at California Girl - another which seems capable in the soft, looking some way back in the formline, I see that she beat Gimme Six , albeit at the longer trip. I am thinking that new surroundings, top trainer, top Jockey - might just all come together.

Interesting reading about the "wet track"

I live in PE and we had alot of rain but that was last weekend. This whole week it's been lovely weather

So the track hasn't dried up in a week???

Track is notorius for it's slow drainage - it was a lot of rain, 80 some odd mm, more than Kenilworth it seems, and that track was still softer imo than the 24 pen reading they claimed when they raced there - the results seemed to suggest it was still very soft.

looked at California Girl as well. I will probably box swingers those 2 and Joking. One to watch later as well is Jet Explorer.

Strange they don't have Gavin Smith's comments for the last where he has two horses with chances, yet have his comments for other races.

I would have to keep plugging on with Silken Summer - has done something in the soft.

This horse has a very strange formline, and as stated earlier I have always had high expectations for her - especially over 1000m.

She runs terribly, then pops up in the places out of the blue - Interesting thing is that wherever she's placed, the horses behind her have gone on to win - yet she comes oout and strings off 10 and 11's.
