Just over a year ago, Cardiff Castle was running Edict of Nantes to 3/4 of a length, Banner Hill to 2 lengths and was rated an 84.

He is 27 points lower today, and after showing a good return to form last time, and with a howling headwind that is likely to suit his style, 5/1 is a great price.

What a disaster with Fayd'herbe today for me.On his own he has knocked me out of every exotic I had by either not coming in or coming in when I didn't have him.I'm sure some will be happy though as the minimum Pick 6 payout is over R250 000.

Me too mydada and the PA with Blow In The Box both not getting the position needed by a short head and now went out the jackpot with Cock-A-Hoop getting up.I have taken him off my Christmas list

But no doubt he is a great jockey just didn't get him right today.
