Fortunately this incident did not occur in Boksburg, as it would have been fatal.............

The Argus article is inaccurate on several scores. The report says: ""According to Botes, he had been drinking at the bar when Zackey arrived and slapped his drink from his hand." Not true. Some of my younger staff who were on the business trip with me who has taken me there to show me this elegant club in Cape Town were in the smoking area and others getting a drink at the bar and I was standing next to the dance floor waiting for them when Zackey bumped my arm in which I was holding my drink the first time, spilling my drink. I made nothing of it, just thinking it was an accident. A few minutes later someone passed me and literally slapped the drink from my hand. I recognized the kid as the same one who had done it before. He stood within striking distance of me with his right arm bent like he was going to strike, with an attitude - what are you going to do about it? I asked him WTF was that all about. The dance floor lights were flashing dark-light-dark-light so I could not follow exact movements when I was struck blind-sided on my left jaw and cheek, I suspect by his friend who was also arrested. As I fell to my right Zackey struck me with some hard object twice, something that immediately drew blood spurting from my forehead and eye and jaw. The cuts are vertical with deep penetration into my eye socket and into my mouth above my jawline and below my lip, like a knuckleduster would inflict. The investigating officer wrote "closed fist" and I insisted he correct his report. His subsequent notes corrected that. Staff at the club stated that they had some 20 witnesses to the event who were mortified at the brutality who will all testify that I had done nothing to provoke the attack. I have lived in the United States for 32 years and have never set foot in a Cape Town club before. Feel free to ask me any question you want.

......hope it goes a lot better than it did in the USA....
Guilty Unless Proven Innocent: The Vendetta against A. STEPHAN BOTES by Stephan Botes
Written while incarcerated after he had been wrongfully convicted by the federal Government of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA following prosecution and trial fraught with crimes committed by crooked United States Attorneys and criminal defense lawyers parading as "defense counsel" under the protection of corrupt judges, all beholden to the system, the book is meant to educate primarily businessmen and women who conduct or intend to conduct business in the United States and with the corporation called UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (Inc.), or for that matter, all who find themselves crossing swords with the amoral federal Government. The book covers the proceedings leading up to his wrongful conviction and proves crimes of obstruction of justice, tampering with the evidence and witnesses, bribing witnesses, falsifying evidence, fabricating evidence, perpetrating fraud upon the court, altering documents entered into evidence and suborning perjury by the prosecutors and even so-called defense lawyers-all officers of the court-even the judge altering the record to cover their crimes.
