This horse may well win, I know it is 5-1and the favourite Rivonia Boulevard ran in the Cape on Met Day, running on for 3rd. The owners will probably punt it down even shorter to a leaner favourite come race time, albeit that the post Cape race formline does not appear to be that strong with no winners yet. And if Drop Kick does not win, I see him running second at least.

Drop Kick needs further, out of the mare Albizia which was also trained by Laird. The 1000m was far to short last time and the 1200m may be a step in the right direction although could still be slightly to short. Judpots improve in distance as well, so in all I expect it to go close today.

Draw 1, Simmons up and was around 7-1 on debut, so I think there was some spare change on the horse l, all be it that it was green.

Eacjway for me if you take R100 wins R400 places, if the horse runs 4th you still turnover R640 and that's a cool R140 profit with 4 chances. A win just adds R600 more to that equation.
