....no doubt a big fish connected to the Humby stable.....had there been the couplings included I may have snagged a small %....went thin in race 8 and had the 2nd and 3rd horse(this was coupled with the winner)...thin in the last did not have the winner but 2 horses and a scratching.... :(

Interesting day indeed.

Uso and all other forms of media coverage did a very poor job in covering these ,4 races.
Don't recall any feedback or interviews done with winning trainers or jockeys of both 2 year old races prior to the race. In fact the USO edition this morning was pathetic in all regards.

The big guns , with the exception of Snaith,Crawford and perhaps Drier seem to be off form

De Kock runners would have done better staying up in JHB, same for Tarry.
Marshall and Byleveld seem to be struggling big time.

Better off not punting on big race days....near impossible for average punters to win of late.

Things are changing , the previous domination of a handful of owners and trainers has passed, it's now a battle between mediocre horses and trainers and punters would do well to limit their spend .

UK and overseas racing in general seems a far better proposition.

As I said earlier tongue in cheek , a de kock hottie getting beat by an average maiden trained by Kom Naidoo would never had happened a couple of years ago , geez how times have changed

Not a bad day though.

Cue the music beat Van Halen by 3 lengths the last time. I didn't think that the results would be reversed this run.
Also, I needed to find a banker. I really dont like a banker in the last leg of the P6.

.....when hunting these big pool payouts one only needs a very small % and bankering is not necessary.....I had a cut of my mates R8000 perm with Cue the Music as banker....so my back up small % perms had cover....went for Van Halen and a few others on pedigree and not price jock or trainers....my only on the nose EW punt today was Sunset Eyes and on it's last run at the track to the stable companion thought it was a good bet.....now had it been coupled with the winner in a P6....

Probably sour grapes - but I have never liked this meeting, you need to have a few lucky numbers to win - best thing on the day imo was the run by Pinnacle Peak - well done Johnno B)

Also I had a bet on Neptunes Rain.
How did muzi end up on the inside I have no idea.
Yet the winner (Sommerlied) was drawn 4 and won racing on the middle of the course.
