INCANTATION (win)

Good draw
Lowest weight

1600m TFI
Draw 9-11, finished 6th 5.25lengths of Tigers rock,in 10th place was Steak and ale, INCANTATION was 3lengths clear of steak and ale in the race.

Steak and ale came out and won maiden in the next start over the 1450m Vac and INCANTATION Ran 7th in that race 2.25length off!!

Couldnt agree more Durbs. Still think he was not getting a fair chop overseas but that's how it goes sometimes. Wouldn't be surprised to see him joining Tarry !!

Durbs, there is nothing new about these low merit rated handicaps - take the 10 point increase away, and what would the race rating be? This is still a low rated race. As a trainer/owner, you would naive not to have a punt on your horse at these rating, when history has shown, we can run the very same race 20 times, and have a different result each time.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Ya I know these are terrible horses but the trainer hasn't had a win in 46 and hasn't had a place in 30 with his runners.
I still can't find why she was well weighted today.
The only collateral form I can find in it's last four runs is with Jameson Girl who also was a 20-1 shot and ran third,only better off because of the appie allowance though.

Collateral form does not count at this level - take the number (below 80) out the discussion, and we back to garbage.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
