PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA TO ADDRESS THE NATION ON DEVELOPMENTS IN SA’S COVID-19 RESPONSE

President @CyrilRamaphosa will address the nation at 20h00 today, Monday 28 December 2020, on developments in relation to the country’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The address follows a meeting on Sunday, 27 December 2029, of the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) and special sessions today of the President’s Coordinating Council (PCC) and Cabinet.

Very disappointed.

New year as well as xmas gone this year.
Many holidays cancelled or ruined.

Many pubs/restaurants under pressure a final kick in balls.

I should have read the game with alcohol ban 😷😢

Vaccine here remains low priority.

Plus God help and bless the front line health workers 😷🙏

To prepare for Covid-19, the ANC received:

R 62 999 515 000 from the IMF.
R 14 653 250 000 from the New Development Bank.
R 500 000 000 000 from the National Budget.

A total of R 577 BILLION RAND gone.

But its YOUR fault that Hospitals are not prepared and without Oxygen

Covid will take a lot of lives. Which is tragic. But the fallout due to the handling of it will be much much worse.

Lionel, i don't believe all the money in the world coupled with any amount of vaccines is the answer - there is no cure for the virus. Think about it, if there was a cure, we wouldn't need vaccines. Even with a "jab", there is still no guarantee that one would not contract the virus.

All we can do is boost our immune systems and hope our bodies are strong enough to fight back if and when one gets it.

Why don't bother to answer?, just like Ebola and HIV aids, there are no cures and they haven't wipe the human species out yet. They may never find a cure for this either.

R number very high for COVID - 19 . used in UK . not sure if SA used it.
Australia has already accepted COVID 19 will now be with us for ever. They are working to "herd" immunity for their citizens. i cant find the article on this.
