Fears and thoughts in South Africa

Good morning all as we enter day 7 only a third of the "official" call for lockdown.

I do get the impression that the more serious side of communication is coming to the fore as the jokes start to drop away.

We are now getting cases where we actually know the people rather than just watching number charts.

My son in law went for a quick shop this morning and definitely less people venturing out in this area.
We hope the dustbin truck arrives this morning and again consider all the people in emergency services (medical, shops, police, army etc)
Trying to work normally under these circumstances to help keep us alive 😢

Its now day 8
Plus its FRIDAY and TGIF does not to make a difference this week.
We would normally be planning a trip to pub with friends and live music.

Never mind looking forward to a nice family braai.

Plenty confusion about racings future and that was without the virus.
To be honest plenty confusion about everything on the planet?
The song for the day is not from my actual playlist but is probably a good call?

Ps very worried about my drinks stock, poor planning to blame.
You must be aware that staying at home you consume more and we need new hinges for fridge door !!

I ventured out for the first time yesterday to replenish provisions. My local PnP is a 1/2 km from my home. 9 cars and 2 taxis on the road. About 20 customers and low stocks. People are certainly heeding the lockdown.

Dave's daily play list got me to go through my vinyls. Today will be Eric Burdon and The Animals( Winds of Change), The Who(Live at Leeds) and Blood Sweat and Tears( Child is Father to the Man). My wife and I will again reminisce about the good old days in Braamfontein and Hillbrow.

Later I will repack my tool box.

Now i feel old

PREFER THE ONE ON MY 21ST

.....please be careful out on the roads.....with fewer vehicles no policing....mayhem...the real f@cktards are doing crazy things....running red lights, speeding....even taxis now stop for red and green....yesterday 2 bike prangs within 3 hours 2 intersections apart on lower Rivonia road...both bikers T boned cars skipping lights....the later oke was stone dead...and on my way to the 2nd scene.... a delivery bike skips red and I nearly take him out....today a massive smash on N3 south after the Modderfontein turn off.....every day I see ambulances and emergency vehicles rushing to crashes....today another manned speed trap on Van Dyk Rd. in Boksburg....:blink:
