It's the leadership who live in the realm of a fools paradise that believe it's the best interest of everyone to not bring back couplings. Even now as most trainers have reduced number of horses in a race (accept Farview) that it still doesnt appeal to bosses.

Let all of us survive....we rather catch a 15k pick 6, 3 times a month than never catching anything at all for months / years to come.

I guess the positive interest balance inbthr bank accounts of having carry over pools is too lucrative than getting the common punter winning in the game and excited. But then again, it's all about dividing and conquering. That's why every angle to pump the Punter is on the go.

Truely merciless

It might just come down to the good old South African way.....strike or boycott until we get what we want.
Refrain from betting on the tote or interbet and maybe they will listen to what the punters want not what they think is right.
Look where they are now,in business rescue, says plenty about the way our racing is run doesn't it.
No racing in SA and the punter is not the one who will lose out as there better racing overseas.
The trainers, jockeys, grooms, vets, farriers, and the fat cats at the top will have no jobs just now.

The problem for Racing is that punters don't voice opinions(except online) - PUNTERS JUST LEAVE - they don't say why- they don't send letters to Phumelela or the Gambling Board they just stop playing - I have seen this happen to many guys who eventually gave up quietly - So yo those that sit and read this site - Remember YOU kileed Racing- You lost your job because of incompetence - You supported Jooste and his exclusive Bouquet Racing plans- But there is always the Open Bet and Keyboard warriors to blame - good luck in the real world when the taps are closed...
