FROZEN TV SCREEN
4 years 1 month ago
In our house we have two TV sets and two Explorer Decoders.
One lot in the lounge and the other in the main bedroom.
For about a month now the Ch 249 Picture can freeze .
The only way I can "release"it is to go to another channel and then back to
Ch 249.
I f this phenomenon continues over a long period when I record-you lose it.
If you pre record e.g.Oz Racing you also lose it.
The Decoder and TV were both bought -separately-in Feb 2020,just before lock down.
We have had the TV boys in ,up on the roof ,tapping the dish LLb's,checking the cables etc etc.
No change.
Last weekend swopped the Decoders and Ch 249 perfect.
Monday I went down to DSTV,stood in the queue, fotunately not for long and related
my saga .The technician then decided to reset all the channels.
This does not just take 5 minutes.
Off we go home and for about an hour I though I had cracked it.
No luck and it started again.
I have solved the problem as I have swopped decoders but not solved the problem.
THIS ONLY OCCURS ON ONE CHANNEL (CH 249).
Anybody else experienced this.

I have also experienced this issue. Since it only happens on channel 249, I didn’t bother contacting DSTV as I assumed it was just another Tellycrap norm.

I also have the same problem 😕
As long as your bookie does not pend the payment, should be OK.
Also could only clear by going to another channel.

This happens to me as well. Only on tellytrack. Everyday. Continuously every few hours.
This has absolutely NOTHING to do with your TV or any TV settings. It is 100% related to Tellytrack and the way that particular channel is received by your decoder.

TT have asked Multi-choice to investigate
Hi Bob,
We have received a few calls this week RE the same issue. Unfortunately we have no control over multichoice set top boxes or their delivery to customers.
We have been monitoring our outgoing signal to Randburg and it is running at 100%. We have however escalated to multichoice and they are monitoring it on their end and trying to resolve as well.
Kind regards,
Wes

Hi Bob,
I trust you are well?
Just a bit of feedback, multichoice have found and resolved the issue with 249 freezing, we have been monitoring on our end and all is stable.
