Such few entrants at an earlyish stage. Expect six final acceptors per race.

The dilemma for the July hopefuls is that if they beat or run close to Double Superlative they could prejudice their July chances if their ratings go above 120.

Am I correct in assuming that Safe passage on a 117 would not go beyond 120, were he to win?

Whatever the outcome of the race, it would be interesting to see what the handicapper does - as PeterD mentions, with Double Superlative at 125, ideally the handicapper is hoping that DS wins the Daily News, thereby validating the ratings - if one or more finish in front of DS, it's anyone's guess whether (and by how much) the ratings will change

DS should not be a 125, on exposed form, Imo.

It stems from his run in the MET - for me though Kommet is too high as well, but ratings are mostly subjective - for what it's worth, I have DS at gross 119
