I see my post in which I had the temerity to criticise your sponsor ( WSB) has been deleted. How's that for censorship ??? This huge organisation which claims to be a WORLD SPORTS BETTING entity will only lay a nobody like me R200 of a bet and then crushes my complaint, and you Bob Brogan bow down and accede to their obvious demand ! Pathetic upon pathetic...

If one posts anything critical of HWB on Sporting Post it doesn't get published. Publish something critical of WSB on this forum its a no-go. We're living in a world of really unhealthy monopolies...and now even our jockeys are too scared to voice an opinion. Punters are not allowed to win except on the tote whose pools have been decimated by these greedy monopolies laying the open bet, so it's really a bleak situation....

FYI! Both Hollywood and WSB offer FULL TOTE SERVICES, as do INTERBET and Betway, punters choice if they wish to play on the TOTE or play the OPEN BET

There are definitely times when trying to place a TOTE bet on HWB it gives 'not available, do you want to place on HB' (paraphrasing...but something like that.) I will do a screen grab next time and add here.

Well that's exactly what I'm referring to ! That money should not be going to those bookmakers but directly into tote pools !!!! Bookmakers should only be allowed to offer fixed odds. Tote payouts etc should be the intellectual property of the tote itself. If HWB etc were not allowed to offer the open bets then tote pools would be SIGNIFICANTLY larger. This would ensure a far healthier situation for SA racing !!!

But the tote must improve their technology and processes... depositing and withdrawing is a joke. The TABGOLD site is old tech ....

With HWB a deposit from a bank transfer takes less than 15 minutes and a withdrawal just as quick. That certainly increases the appeal of transacting on their platform rather than TABONLINE or TABGOLD.

Honestly that is why I gave up on the Tote aeons ago.

Hey Magi. I agree that the tote's processes are antiquated BUT a site like Interbet feeds the money directly into the actual tote pools. Other sites feed the money into the owners pockets ! And then limits are imposed by them which certainly work to the punters' detriment. Another point is that if more of the punting rand went into tote pools, the operators could afford to upgrade their technology. We're all just working to make a few people very very rich...

Just tried to take a tote double on HK racing with Hollywood and guess what it said ......double not available

On 27th March I caught 40% of a trifecta at Wolves ....

Trifecta - Floating BankerPayout R62 847/67.20 Stake
Trifecta - Floating Banker

That payout was reversed and only R39k paid out.... yup, limits as I had played it on HB. So lessR23k ..that is the downer ... but the upside is that money was in my bank account within 15 minutes ...so is swings and roundabouts. I CHOOSE to play on HWB mainly for the convenience and UI of the HWB platform.
