2026 HIGHVELD FEATURE SEASON AWARDS – NOMINEES

 


Johannesburg, South Africa — With another exciting Highveld Feature Season in the books, our judges and auditors have been hard at work weighing the results in preparation for this year’s Highveld Feature Season Racing Awards. 

The event is scheduled to take place at Turffontein Racecourse’s Aquanaut Suite on Saturday, 16 May 2026. 4Racing looks forward to celebrating everyone who contributed to making it a memorable season. The Highveld Feature Season Awards are judged on a points system and a panel comprising Clyde Basel, Darryl Maree and Gabriel Soma.

EXCELLENCE REWARDED AT 2026 HIGHVELD FEATURE SEASON AWARDS

Johannesburg, South Africa — Saturday, 16 May 2026 saw a host of the South African racing fraternity gather at Turffontein Racecourse to celebrate the 2026 Highveld Feature Season Awards, hosted by 4Racing. Hosted by Clyde Basel in Turffontein’s elegantly appointed Aquanaut suite, the evening honoured the standout performers - equine and human - of the 2025/26 Highveld Feature Race season.

In a highly competitive season where every victory was hard won, the 2026 nominees were tougher to separate than most and all recipients on the night were most deserving. However, it takes more than winners to make a season and 4Racing thanks every one of our owners, trainers, jockeys, grooms and all the unseen hands behind the scenes who helped make it a season to remember.

“We’ve had a remarkable year filled with unforgettable moments,” said 4Racing Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Duff. “The quality and depth of visiting horses and connections were phenomenal. Yes, the raiders may have stolen a bit of our silverware along the way, but it created a truly cosmopolitan and competitive season, and reinforced Turffontein’s standing as a genuine proving ground for the very best in the country.
