I have dug up whatever I have been able to find :
Mangalani Peter Malugani is CEO of the Peu Investment Group.
Quote from their website : "A wholly black owned and managed investment holding company, with strategic investment in the financial services, fleet lease and automotive, and information technology sectors. Focuses on companies with significant global potential and proven leadership".
He is also a director of Capital Alliance, South African Rail Commuter Corporation, Super Group and a non-executive director of Investec.
Without prejudice I would guess that he appears to be very much a BEE beneficiary. What he brings to horse racing I cannot say as I do not know.

His few shares could have paid for Newmarket oh no oops you don't get share options if the price is not met. What did he pay for his shares. 1 buck 1 cent would be great to know.
The word investec pops up all over the palce any reason?

There I was taking a d***p in the mens' at Royal Ascot when I overheard the following conversation at the urinal. It grabbed my attention only because the accents sounded vaguely familiar - they were Saffers!
Hi Peter. so nice to see you here. Trip OK? Accomodation good?
Oh yes, Bernie. Excellent. Although I must say you do look a bit ridiculous in top hat and tails.
Peter - while I've got you here I wonder if I could ask a favour..........
No need to ask, Bernie. What with the directors fees you pay me the answer is 'yes'.
Before you say 'yes',John, hear me out. It's like this ; I've sponsored the Derby for these down and out poms but I'm not sure how the shareholders will react. To be fair - horseracing does, at the best of times, have a bit of a rank odour to it and what with the recent employee benefits lawsuit thing some might think we are getting into dubious ventures again.
Understood, Bernie. But I have the perfect solution. How about horseracing sponsoring horseracing?
Huh?
It works like this. I have a bucketload of PumALeLow shares. Paid nothing for them and they are just hanging around since last October. I'll dump them and forward the cash to you. You can 'process' it through your banking system and your troubles are over without touching a penny of shareholder funds! You can make it up to me later via another directorship. Hell - the poms might even give you an OBE.
Hell - that's inspired! Thanks mate.
Not bad for a darkie, eh Bernie?
You telling me! Now put that python back in your pants, John, and let's go sink some more corporate champagne.
It's hell being a black in South Africa, Bernie!
( This fictional story bears no resemblance to anyone either living or dead ). Lol.
