Shot oscar,
Taking 4/10 (or even 8/10 at the off) about a young 3 year old filly who only won her maiden last time and has been rested is money fro jam for the bookmakers.
I promise you they have been waiting for this filly to run for weeks now. They had all the right in the world to price her up at short odds because of the "form on paper".....funny thing about horses, they don't run on paper, they run on grass!!!!!
We'll find another one to back in the week at decent odds!!!

Of what? That it was a 3yo Maiden winner having its first run in after a beak of 14 weeks? Why it was rested? That the price was ridiculous? That the jockey was not going to give her a hard ride if she came under pressure or if he saw she cannot win? That they are working on a plan to get a good price/bet later?

form aside, anyone who watched Purple Lake win a few weeks back must have been rubbing their eyes when seeing her 16/1 price for yesterday, i was 1 of them. If she had been from a bigger stable with a bigger name jock there's no ways she would have been that price.
Seems the penny dropped on the day and her price tumbled to 5/1. Hope a few people got on at 16's.

I must be a fool ? Thought Mana Mou was a racing certainty ? Now I hear on here it wasn't and the bookies were also licking their lips offereing 4/10. So thats why the pick6 paid R770 000, Jacpot R23 000 and the PA R 15 000. No problem the centres I play locally are shrinking all the time. Now I only play Gauteng, KZN racing only at GREYVILLE and PE. Study the UK form I shall, don't think they have to many Mana Mou's there to jump up and bite me. If Mana Mou was no good thing then this game is one of chance and our telling others it's about skill is BS.

Chainsaw..
look, I am sorry you got bitten..
the run could not continue...
questions were starting to mount...
racing is about bluffing...like poker...
Its common knowledge that the stable is connected to a Bookie ...
and before anyone goes off into the @#$%^&*()_+||...nothing wrong with that..
Why would the trainer tell..the bookie can scoop a cool R1m for us on a sunday afternoon...
afterall..the questions were mounting on the exceptional run the stable has had at clairwood...what better result to calm the bookies..stipes etc..
Again..nothing wrong...racing is like poker...BLUFFING...
why...because its MONEY..MORE MONEY..and LOTS more MONEY...
Racer and Tommy seem to be informed and well studied..so this is no surprise to them..
however..
1000's of punters bankered the horse in PA, P6 and Jackpot...
100's of punter included the horse in doubles and trebles, Yankees, canadians
100's of punter included the horse in swg, ex, trifecta & quartets..
anyone with Interbet..could see...early in the morning..
