Ever heard of anybody that went to a casino to watch?
Ever heard of anybody that went to the races to watch?
Never seen the former, but have seen lots of the latter.
Those charged with promoting racing have lost the plot and forgotten about what makes racing great.
Hint: it is not just the cashing of a ticket. It has something to do with the grand spectacle of the game and the animals themselves.

As I understand it, Piggs Peak is in Swaziland. Why would we be allowed to send out gambling rands to Swaziland and not to Betfair UK? Or am I missing something?

Swaziland is within the Rand monetary agreement area and not subject to normal forex rules!

They should rather sit with bookmakers around a table to iron out a way forward for racing! Engage rather than dictate.

Get the impression two sets of rules
1) for the punter dont touch "illegals" i.e. Betfair/Ladbrookes/on line casinos etc
2) ok for racing authorities to have joint ventures, agreements etc, with the "illegals"
strangely strange but oddly normal.
