All The Best Debbie Hawkins

Debbie Hawkins, currently Manager-Racing Services with Phumelela, Has decided to take up an offer with the Singapore Turf Club. She will be flying out on the 14th January and will be sorely missed by the Racing fraternity.

Debbie- Now that is a big blow to racing, a great lady, passionate about the game and knowledgeable to the max. To me, her departure is a great loss to racing and I know she will be an great asset to racing in Singapore.

There have been some very kind words posted on your website and I would like to thank your members for their kindness. I would appreciate it if you could post this for me:

My years within the South Africn racing industry have been very special and I know that the experience gained will stand me in good stead when I take up my new position in Singapore. I will not be 'lost to SA' - in fact I truly believe that the relationship that currently exists between SA and Singapore can only be strengthened and I do hope to make that possible.

To all the Members of ABC and to the racing fraternity in general, may I wish you and yours and very blessed Christmas and a 2010 filled with (lots of soccer) but with love, health and happiness.

To all my friends

Although I still have approximately 3 weeks before I leave for Singapore on 14 January, I wanted to get take this time to wish everyone a very special new year - a year that I know for me is to bring many changes, excitement and new challenges.

While I have never been the best at 'goodbyes' I don't believe that this email is a farewell, rather a 'till we see each other again next year' email. I will try and keep in touch as often as possible but do hope that you won't delete me from your email list just because I am across the ocean. Debbie is a good friend and a top top racing PR..we said it at the time she was a huge loss to SA Racing..but she is on her way to the top and NOBODY deserves it more..if you read this Debs..remember what I told you those years back..and you laughed at me..you can't laugh now!!
