Men's semi finals day of a grand slam is always my favorite. 2 quality matches to watch.

I will be going for youth, fearlessness and nothing to lose. Backed Thiem at 34/10, if he can get off to a flyer and take the first set can place a cover bet no Nadal.

I guess the Rome open results showed Thiem couldn't/didnt produce two consecutive big performances against the cream of the crop and in a similar situation at even a higher pressured level of a grand slam will that change or can we expect relatively more of the same. If he arrives not even Rafa can withstand his level of heavy hitting. If his not at the same level as shown against Novak it could get very ugly as it did in the Rome semis

As predicted, only Stan standing in the way of Nadal's 10th crown.

As I said in a previous post Nadal literally only had to Beato thiem and then Stan to win the title. 7/10 double was/ is a great bet!

Stan can upset the apple cart if he wakes up on the right side of the bed on Sunday but I am very happy with my bet thus far, win or lose.

To be honest Nadal was not one of my favorite players in the last decade or so but to win a tournament ten times is some doing. Definitely the best clay court player of all time. After a woeful 2016, Nadal definitely back on song. The question is can he get to Federers eighteen grand slams as he is just three away.
