Today is the Irish Grand National. I’ve had a little strike on Espanito Bello at 14/1 who has been prepped for this race.

Look forward to the Grand National this weekend, at this stage I’m looking at James Bowen’s ride Secret Reprieve at 20/1 but it’s still a long week ahead. The favourite also looks strong this year. Exciting week ahead. Will the Irish come and dominate again?

Ten Gr1’s over three days Thurs, Fri and Sat.
The first four races on Thurs are all Gr1’s.

Three good days from Aintree to look forward to, similar to Cheltenham with a few hotties and a few massive price winners and exotics for the catching .

Just to wet your appetite:

Thursday :

Warning note : that lady Rachael Blackmore is riding.

Tiger Roll goes for the Bowl instead of National but bumps Clan DES Obeaux, Native River and Waiting Patiently.

Couple of hotties on day one should be MONMIRAL won its 4 hurdle races and the unbeaten bumper EILEEDDOVER (can be dangerous depending who is behind you) also won its 3 races by a staggering 52 lengths, in total.

The Hurdle should be a good contest between Mcfabulous and Abacadabra

Friday

Marsh chase should be between Politologue and Fakir D’oudairies (where do they get these names) .
Bravesmansgame may run Friday or Sat but is a good one.
CHANTRY HOUSE should be the banker.

Saturday, National Day

Cloth Cap is the well fancied fav for the big one but I am having an ew on the classy top weight BRISTOL DE MAI 25/1 ish ew.

SHISHKIN runs in a novice and exotic banker.
Let’s stick with PAISLEY PARK in the Stayers.

Good Punting.

Lets start chalking up the Gr 1's (and the National on Sat):

R1 HITMAN
R2 ADAGIO
R3 TIGER ROLL (EW) what else can I say for this beautiful animal
R4 BREWIN'UPASTORM (EW)

Prosperous punting B)

Day One of the National 3 day meeting.

The National probably lost a bit of sparkle with Tiger Roll not attempting to go for a third win to join the legend Red Rum.
This was due to the handicapper being a bit heavy handed.
However the Tiger finds itself in the Aintree Bowl today against some proper Grade one company and the 5/1 on offer is a bit unrealistic and to be honest, I would not take 10/1.

As mentioned yesterday MONMIRAL and EILEENDOVER is around 3/1 for the “double” and is my bet for the day.
Adagio can give Monmiral a bit cheek but let’s think positive.

The hurdle race is very open but let’s give our old friend BUVEUR DAIR a wee ew punt at 10/1.

Good Punting.
