It is touch-and-go whether Little Big Bear runs in the July Cup on Saturday.

Chaldean will have a thorough overhaul after his Gp1 disappointment in France on Sunday.

The 3-day July Festival at Newmarket starts today. Ladies Day today followed by Festival Friday and then closing with July Cup Day on Saturday.

Four pattern races today the headline of which is R4 the Princess Of Wales’s Stakes in which Adayar, the Derby and King G & QEII winner in 2021, is the 4/10 fav in a field of four.

The ruling fav for tomorrow’s headline, Via Sistina, will run but conditional to a favourable going.

There will husband and wife jockeys racing against each other in today’s Newmarket Gp1. Hollie Doyle will be aboard Nashwa and Tom Marquand aboard Coppice.

Epsom Oaks winner Soul Sister is the ruling favourite for the Gp1 in Paris tonight 1952.

Little Big Bear has been given the green light to run in the July Cup tomorrow.

Emily Upjohn, meritorious 2nd to Paddington in last Sat’s Eclipse, will target the King G. VI & QE II 29 July.

After the Group 1 race at Newmarket, Marquand and Moore will then head off to Longchamp to contest another Group 1.

At Longchamp though, it will be the Oaks winner, Soul Sister, taking on the males the one to beat. If she does fluff her lines hoping for one of the Galileo progeny to win.

It's been a good few days for the bookies and maybe the punters can pull back today.

Newmarket where Shaquille has been drifting but 3/1 is a decent price considering his last run.
Will rely on Ryan with Content and City of Troy.

Ascot, York and Chester also decent racing

Salisbury and Hamilton tonight

Navan in Ireland

Good Punting 👍
