Sir Dragonet... wow.. what a machine!

That will win the Epsom Derby. O’ Brien has some serious stock again this year. This horse has a awesome turn of foot.

Sir Dragonet needs to be supplemented as it is not a Derby entry at the moment. The bookmakers only introduced him in the betting after today's victory at 8/1.

I backed Sir Dragonet when it won on debut two weeks ago when it won at 14/1. That day its stable was odds on.

This horse must be really come on this last month if it had no entry at all for the Derby to begin with.

People see one horse win well on tacky ground and then proclaim it as the derby winner. Plenty of other horses running into form.

Chicken
I am sure we have watched many races over the years.
I will be first to admit that it would appear that Obrien had this one underestimated, highlighted in price and stable jockey allocation.
However i watched this race, the manner in how the horse was ridden, the confidence and arrogance of the ride certainly gave me the impression that this was the best Derby performance i have seen this year.
We still await for Too Darn Hot and obriens choice of whom will run and jock allocation.

Certainly adds some excitement.

Good Punting

For sure Dave but imho you cannot be so bold on this run. For starters Epsom has a gruelling finish, the day will most probably be hot and the ground firm and most importantly the opposition far much stronger albeit that was very impressive and I think the AoB stable will have at least 5 runners so the odds of his stable winning the race will be high. Which one?

The secret is out. Sir Dragonet was not seen in public until last month but after demolishing his rivals in a key Classic trial just 13 days on from his successful debut, the son of Camelot was propelled to a general 5-1 second favourite for next month's Investec Derby.

It is rare for a colt unraced at two to arrive on the Epsom scene in such breathtaking style and as the magnitude of the eight-length success began to sink in, it became clear even those closest to Aidan O'Brien's apparent stable second-string were caught on the hop.

"We thought he was a big baby at home which is why he's not entered in the Derby," said Coolmore representative Paul Smith. "The lads will look at it and make a decision a week or two before Epsom.

"He'd just had the one run. We needed to educate him and this was a good place to come. He's got a beautiful Galileo pedigree by Camelot so it's all there and he obviously comes alive at the track."

Sir Dragonet, who returned at 12-1 when winning his maiden at Tipperary, will need to be supplemented for the Derby at a cost of £85,000 but now rates as Ballydoyle's chief hope in the market behind champion two-year-old Too Darn Hot.

Without an entry for Epsom, he had not even been quoted in the Derby betting by some firms beforehand, but Betfair introduced him at 10-1 after the race before his odds tumbled.

They will only supplement him if they believe that he has a greater than 80% chance of winning. O’Brien stable and owners are not mugs and will carefully weigh up all the odds

True cac. ballydoyle have so many stunning horses that they don't know which to choose.
Aob himself and rm didn't know who would win the guineas. they did know they would win it just as they will win the derby but again clueless as to which one.

Put whatever you want on this colt. If he makes the starting stall, he wins.
Last time I was this confident was with cherry on the top and the triple tiara
