Since the tsunami where the Galle cricket ground was all but washed away the wicket has become 50/50 unlike before when it was very batsman friendly so I see a result in the match.

Sri Lanka are making a good fight out of getting those runs. SA could well throw this away, again. Sangakarra is the key at 110/1

Looks like Amla is trying to stamp his mark as being a positive captain. I am of the old school and the first objective if not losing the match then try to win it. I feel with that declaration we gave away everything we build over the first 3 days and 2 sessions. We might still win just don't see why you give another team a chance when they had none.

We all look at it differently I guess to me Amla declaring was the first positive/aggressive move by a SA Captain in a while, hope it filters through to the shorter format of the game, for the first time in a long time I think we can win a world cup if we stay positive/aggressive like this two thumbs up

Nah... the Proteas will never do that.
It's the television company that's playing 4th umpire.

Thank goodness it was not Supersport doing the coverage. They would have swept it under the carpet.

SA cant play spin and with Sri Lanka opening with a spinner in the first innings there is no way that SA will even get a draw. Sri Lanka to win by an innings

Not the first to do so and certainly not the last...happens all the time...just that most are smart enough not to get caught...

Should have got a ban of a game or two...since it was done for the benefit of the team, I'm sure the player will be compensated for any financial loss he has...
