Ambrose and Walsh bowled unchanged that morning...
yes Ambrose was sensational, also remember him bowling out England a few times especially that match when they only made 47.

When Australia scored that 434 Kallis told the team that the Aussies were a couple of runs short and we all know what happened next, lets hope that you have nailed it Karma,

Why open with AB in the prep matches then when the most important matches come along they bat him at 5. Weird set up in the camp i think and they have to have a complete overhaul and decide in which direction they want to go

I'm assuming this is a decision made by team mgmt...captain, coach and selector on trip...some shortcomings in approach and an attempt to accommodate all of Amla, de Kock and AB...
Amla has been found wanting and AB has been below par / expectations...

I can't for the life of me understand the same thing Chicken.... Not only that, Berhardien ( ) played a lot of the games, now in crunch time Russouw gets the nod (and he deserves it albeit failed)... How can someone perform if constantly ignored until a big game.... Another one (and I'm not a fan), is Phangiso, he made his debut many years ago, he has played a total of 9 games in how many years 7????
Yet they have been prepping for months......

At the start of the WIndies inning SA were 13/5 to win. When Gayle went the odds were slashed to 7/4

A couple of months ago I made the comment that Amla would not be in my starting line up for the comp as he struggles to hit through the line in the shorter formats in the sub continent.... They pay lucritive salaries to guys to get stats and relay them to the coaching/management staff for what??? It seems to go through one ear and out the next imo....
An example is Aus - Finch is rated the no 1 batsmen in T20 cricket, yet they were not worried about letting him sit on the sidelines for their first few games..... NZ dropped their 3 main bowlers for their 1st game and too were succesful... Our management relies too much on reputation and are too scared to make bold decisions.....
