SA need 1 win from remaining two matches as the run rate is far superior than any other team in the group

Don't forget Captain WW(walking wicket) as the pundits on Cricinfo refer to him, a stellar 10 off 15 balls,

In all seriousness, a good win under the circumstances.:cheer: :cheer:

Dewald Brevis just made 162 off 57 balls. I think his 100 was of 35 balls.

The first 3 probably won the odd match for SA...Bavuma merely occupying a spot...

Darren Sammy in the latter part of his career was captaining West Indies but was neither batting or bowling. Even for the Pakistani franchise he was playing for. Darren Sammy was a great captain though and on his day could be a match winner in either discipline.

On current form Bavuma is a liability. He is not going anywhere and it is the selectors and the coach to blame. I read somewhere that Chandimal dropped himself has the T20 Captain and from the side in one of the World Cups. Ponting done the same at Mumbai Indians.

The other players need to go hard from the start and Bavuma to play a rotating type of innings. If we lose early wickets playing fearless then he needs to anchor and currently Miller can bat for longer periods with Bavuma. You rather be 100/4 for after 10 overs and end up with 160 with the tail and if things are good we can end up with 180 if we bat first. With our bowling line up we definitely can restrict teams to lower totals if we bowl first. Shamsi on his off days leaks too many runs and four pace bowlers is the way to go with Maharaj and Markram to bowl if a bowler is having an of day.

We have a definitive chance of winning the World Cup.

Now people are saying that Williamson is a greater liability than Bavuma because at least Bavuma gets out early.

I understand if you few down to bat sedately but if you chasing 180, you have to go from early on. Puts too much pressure on the power hitters as they have to hit out more often. That 40 off 40 balls by Williamson was the game changer.

Like with Steven Smith surely his time is up and move on.

New Zealand although playing first against Ireland in their last group game should qualify with their high run rate. Australia plays second on that day and England last so England will know exactly what to do.
