Stubbs looks like he just wants to be a six hitter as he shows no patience which has cost him his wicket plenty of times.

The pitches will be doctored in India’s favour as per norm so I can’t see any team other than them winning the comp

Shamsi at times haves a confidence problem and can be wayward as a result. Fortuin at the moment seems the better option. Muthusamy played in the SA 20 and can be an option. Both of them are not bad with the bat either. Also Markram can bowl some spin as well.

What a remarkable chase by the Proteas against West Indies in a T20. Set a target of 259 they managed to win the game with more than an over to spare, thanks to De Kock 100 who was supported by Reza Hendricks 68.

I think it's a reflection of the poor state of the game...T20 in particular...shorter boundaries, lighter but stronger bats, fielding restrictions, bowling restrictions...so heavily in favour of the batsmen...not a contest for me so no interest anymore...

The weather is dismal around Johannesburg and the surrounding areas. South Africa is playing Netherlands in Benoni and its very likely the game will be called off. The two games against Netherlands should have never been staged in Gauteng due to afternoon thunderstorms and they knew these games are vital for us qualifying for the World Cup.

Ireland is playing Bangladesh in the UK and if they win all three of their games they can qualify ahead of us but first we need to win on Sunday to have a chance of direct qualification.

Hoping we get a game today, Friday, but the forecast is bleak.

They just announced during ODI commentary that SuperSport have now secured broadcasting rights to 2023 IPL.

Rinku Singh hit the last 5 balls for 6s to win the game. Extraordinary.

For once the rain has helped South Africa.

The match between Ireland and Bangladesh has been abandoned due to rain. Bangladesh made 246 and Ireland was 65/3 after about 16 overs.

South Africa qualifies directly for the ODI Cup in India to be later this year, 2023.
