This is apparently a gadget that you attach to your TV and then receive all channels that you normally need a decoder for

Anybody know about it and using it?

It is a signal receiver - receives the low frequency radio signals that is broadcast with the TV signal - converts it to watchable TV (something to that effect)

No boxes, decoders etc.

Must be within 50 km of broadcast tower - costs about $40 - but will it work here? - sent them an amail

....depends if it is digital or analogue....but sounds like a scam.....most decent TV is out on the internet and streamed at a fraction of $40 initial outlay .....one can get a digital android box for ZAR 500 and get Netflix and a whole host of online content for a very small subscription.....if not a scam this antennae will never be able to convert to a decent picture and may only capture local free to view of which is no where decent viewing....

can't be a bigger scam than dstv itself

apparently new technology
"The secret lies behind a law that no television operator in the world wants you to know. This specifies that they must provide, in addition to the conventional signal, a signal per radio. In order not to break the law, all operators therefore broadcast this signal, but at a low frequency - thus, virtually no antenna was able to receive it reliably. Until now! "

1080p HDTV

saw a you tube video where a bloke uses it - several sports channels on it, those are mostly pay for everywhere

there must be a saffer around that has tried it - obviously not here in ABC country

My work colleague was sent a similar "box" from the UK. It is plugged into their smart tv, and feeds off their Wi-Fi. They downloaded the Terrarium app and can watch most of the latest movie releases. All they require is data/bandwidth. They do not pay a subscription to any service provider.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.
