Liverpool had become accustomed to positions outside top 3 so that is why Rogers was tolerated and Moyes was not...United had not been out of the top 3 in 20 years so that is the minimum bar that Moyes needed to cross...considering he inherited a team, albeit on the decline, that had won the title quite comfortably the previous year...maybe the gap last year flattered them due to the under-performance of immediate rivals like Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea...

Imo to say gerrard has let the team down, is ridiculous. This man is the team,like it or not. Which player ind UNIVERSE can boast single handledly lifting the Champions leaugue.NONE.
Yes messed up vs Chelsea, understable, but let the team down? Noways!!!we did not and are not going to win the leaugue, no excuses there, BUT, I tell u I'm 1 proud Pool fan and I seeHUGEimprovement to come. I dontcare about united, city and chelsea fans pumping their mouths,etc, all I care about is the improvement shown by my team
