Eish !!! The vitriol towards Manchester United (and some other players, managers, teams...best recent example is attacks on Alan Pardew and the froth is brewing towards Brendan Rogers...)...who really cares, in the grand scheme of things and the daily struggles by billions, how / what a football team does or doesn't do...
The top players still earn, in a week, more than 99% of the people on earth will struggle to earn, through harder work and longer hours, in a lifetime...and the players and clubs just don't care what the thoughts of the plebs are...

You are correct tnaicker although one famous goalkeeper, David James, has no money left. He has blown his £20 million fortune. He has been declared bankrupt. When I lived in the south of England I often used to see famous footballers in the bookies. I would be embarrassed to place my £5 each way bet when they were sticking hundreds of pounds on a race, and just about every race

Its just sport but what would life be if we had no interest in sport?

Life would be free of the disrespect sport seems to generate when some-one holds a view different from our own or supports another team for whatever reason...I see some of the posts directed at some of the Clanners and I can only wonder what purpose or to what end some posts are made...the person gets attacked rather than a discussion being held regarding a view proposed...

I guess it is too much of an effort to improve oneself so the easier route is taken...disparage the person to bring them down to a level one can compete at...

I don't post as much as I did a few months ago as the forum resembles News24 at times...people hiding behind pseudonyms to attack persons rather than discuss opinions to improve one's knowledge...

Also, people not taking the time to read and understand what is posted before launching the odd tirade against a poster...

Read about David James...never good to hear about anyone's failings...brings no joy to see additions to the masses of people in difficulties...

talking about Van Gaal, he has said that he does not believe that Falcao is strong enough to lay in the premier league. Falcao is out injured at the moment and if this is true then he wont be signing on a permanent deal at the end of the season

Build from the back and have a strong spine to the team...already have an excellent goalkeeper...

If you don't concede, at least you pick up a point and if the spine of the team (goal-keeper, 2 centre-backs, 1 defensive midfielder, 1 attacking midfielder and 1 striker) is strong, you will score the odd goal to turn 1 point into 3...

Much earlier in the thread there was some discussion about match- fixing and I agree with the view that players earning millions are not going to jeopardize that for compariive pennies.
However the question is,how about resentful referees who I would guess often feel bitter when taking lots of abuse, match after match, for much much less!
I enjoy watching good football( mainly because I support no side since Durban City) but when you watch a ref perform like in tonight's Man City match, he is either useless or crooked-many of his decisions were head scratching and then how do you book the wrong player for a yellow offence cos the real culprit is already on a yellow-they should check his Betfair account....

Out the FA Cup, battling to make Champions League. Surely even the most ardent supporter must be calling for the coach to go

Just a few short months back there was talk of relegation, now its finishing in the top four and so on and so on.............

I for one am still a staunch UNITED supporter and also understand that you don't win every game or the league every season. The new player purchases were way overdue yet nobody asks why Fergie did not spend.......... was he waiting for the new coach to do so which would seem fair. Either way new players were needed, i am just a bit disappointed that they are not bringing through more youngsters from the academy.

I do not agree with Van Gaal being sacked at all as all this would mean is starting again with a new coach and besides Van Gaal does not need UNITED rather its the other way around.

What never fails to amaze me is that if you are a supporter or a UNITED hater the fact remains that it is the most spoken about football team in the WORLD... :)

Tiger... I hear you bro.

Some of LVG decisions this year has been mind boggling to say the least.

Yes we need new players... then why did he not get 2 central defenders earlier or even in the January window

Agra, i wish i could give you the answers...... but i do believe that LVG knows what he is doing, he has a proven track record. I may not agree with what he may be doing at this stage but i do believe he has a strategy. The minute we turn the corner everyone will be saying that UNITED pay officials or bully them blah, blah, blah..........

The fact is that these are mostly new players and combinations and i for one am very happy with our performance based on all the changes....... in fact we should be a lot lower down the table. I am just not one of the fans that believes we must keep on changing, Fergie...... Moyes....van Gaal then new players etc, etc. UNITED has generally had better goal scorers than defenders, it is also the reason so many people watch UNITED, because there are always goals.

I don't have all the answers buddy but i am not worried as they will dominated again in the near future and the detractors will all go missing till our next loss.
