bob i been waiting for him to drop Baloteli , he is a destructive force in this team . Gerard is/was a great player , he is getting old now and apart from being an expert penalty taker offers very little to liverpoo lately . I recon they will offer greater resistance tonight but they may need time to gel a bit . I'm sure it will be entertaining to view .

I was about to type about how Liverpool have got into the game a little after a really tough first 10 minutes and then Real Madrid score...

No-one to play the ball out to even if they break up Real Madrid attack...going to be a long night...if they push out to try to get anything from the game they will get caught on the break and concede more...should they just try to keep the score respectable ??

How crap are Arsenal. 3-0 up against a team who have never won an away match in the history of the Champions league yet they come back and draw 3-3. With only injury time left and Arsenal 3-2 up Arsenal go on the attack with 6 players around the opposition box. They lose it and bang its 3-3. Wenger has to take the blame as he just pushes his players up to attack no matter what the situation in the match is.

a neutral observation
Liverpool played a great game and deserved a point against a top side last night, much better than that gutless display from united on the weekend, have you ever heard of united being happy to only lose 1-0 they should hang there heads in shame :woohoo:

Based on last nights performance I predict Liverpool will get all 3 points this weekend against a over confident Chelsea side

Liverpool played ok, as a fan not impressed with a loss, k dnt care if we play Germany, i want my team2 win..as a football fan though, was a decent showing from a team lacking confidence, creativity and prowess.. not impressed by rodgers subs though, chasing da point last 20mins, shouldve brought on balo as borini was getting outjumped, outpaced and outstrenthened by Varane and ramos. Balo wouldve atleastsot a few times as well..u cannot bring on 3 midfielders and expect to score. Ds tks my mind back2 champs leaugue last season where chelsea were needing 2 score to go th3ough, not sure which team they played. But Jose put on 4 Strikers and ba scored. He had eto,ba,torres and schurrle on..u wna score, u need ur strikers on..gone r da days when ur gerrards and lampards r scoring 20 goals a season 4u

If I had made the trip to Madrid like many Liverpool fans,I would have been very disappointed with the resting of key players.
I can't understand why he gave that game up to concentrate on Sundays game,to try and get in the top four to qualify for a tournament that he rests he's best players.
Surely if your not guaranteed top 4 spot, you try and win that game.

Every team rests players
It was the right decision by Rodgers imo
Kolo got a run and did well
So did Emre, Moreno, Manqulio,
Young players playing at the biggest stage
