I don't think the long ball game suits him.
Your probably be seeing Fellaini getting some more game time and United playing more like the old Wimbledon.

A new strategy from Van Gaal and it does not include everyone aiming at getting the ball to Rooney to score. I like the new format and Rooney must make himself valuable again by working for the ball and creating opportunities not only for himself but his team mates as well.
