Who is the commentator or analyst Dean Somebody on the feed we get who always makes palpably wrong statements with such conviction. Latest example: "that was definitely a goal, Rooney was in an offside position but the key is that he doesn't move." (Man U equaliser vs Preston). Doesn't move? He clearly makes an avoidance movement to prevent the ball hitting him and was therefore offside. He also said Rooney did not interfere with keeper at all. The keeper is clearly put off by Rooney's and only starts making dive after Rooney's avoidance move. Garuntee every one of studio analysts will say that was offside. In another recent game Dean Wrongagain said definitely not a penalty; another angle confirms defender stood on the attackers foot and brought him down, he says you can see why defender was upset, no contact there at all. Dean said while typing this there was no contact for Man
U pen, simulation, so my guess is that he was probably chopped in two!

Yep googled and it is him. I've read law and according to its letter Rooney was probably not offside, but movement has nothing to do with it, so Dean doesn't know law properly either. It is a stupid law if that situation is not offside.

The standard of British commentators is poor, very biased and one sided especially when man united are playing
Heard a scottish commentator the other day and never understood one word he said, I think gibberish is Scotlands official language

Only rugby has laws. Football has rules, no laws.

You should try to switch the volume of your TV on. as it does help to actually hear what is said

I prefer to simply hear the crowd noise and other sound effects. Commentators are clueless "experts" who scream and shout about things happening that the viewer can see self.
40 years ago we had good old Charles Fortune who would give radio commentary, and 30 minutes would pass with him waxing lyrically about the clouds, birds and what not – you would not know if a hat trick was taken or a fifty was scored.
Now we have TV and can actually see what happens – and the commentators will scream and shout “six” “four” “bowled him” or mention the wrong player name in possession of the ball, give wrong interpretation of the rules or laws etc.
WTF? - do they think the blind are watching TV?

The cricket world cup on Sky have commentators from most of the competing countries. The highlight of the world cup for me so far is that they did not employ Mike Haysman. Its been a pleasure watching and not having to put up with his constant waffling. So a huge well done to those who did not invite him.

I hope they don't have Pomme "Whaaaaaaaat a shaaaaaaat" Mbangwe either. To me the cricket world cup has been a farce since the excellent 1992 edition when there was real tension for every game as two groups competed for a place in the semis.
