One of the worst kept secrets is now out and that is that Virgil Van Dijk has asked to leave Southampton.
Saints have told him to go and sit in the corner until this matter resolves itself.
Facts:
If any club should know what happens in the PL transfer market then Southampton should.
There are already many derogatory remarks on Saints Local blog but it is inevitable he will go .
The way I look at it is that he is 26 and like anybody else he has committments.
He has probably 6-7 years at the top, which does not include Southampton.
He will be on at least Double Wages, plus, plus.
He will not be sold for under 75million and I don't believe that Liverpool are automatic.
Man Utd,Man City and Chelsea will all get in to this one now they know he is on the market.
Soton didn't have defensive problems after Van Dijk got injured in January. They just couldnt
score goals.
Soton will take the money as any club would and it is naive for Saints supportres to think that he will stay.

on sky sports he has already agreed personal terms with barca and only a transfer fee needs to be agreed with liverpool.

the market seems to be crazy.how man city can pay 50mill pounds for an average defender like walker is just crazy.every club in europe is coining it with the prices when the sell to premiere league clubs.

Man City strong and with some good signings look the business
Man United good signings another today Matic from Chelsea
Liverpool some good signings but defence will let them down
Chelsea looks as if they wont be in the top 2
Arsenal will be lucky to finish in 6th. Going backwards fast
Spurs wont make top 4 as new stadium will cost them big time. Will sell more then they buy
Everton could sneak top 4 place. Some very good signings

The trophy will be in Manchester this season...I hope it's the Red half :cheer:
Huge pressure on Pep to deliver now...his reputation is on the line IMO..

£40 million for Matic not a bad deal considering Everton are wanting £60m for Barkley

Wenger says that he wont be selling Alexis or Ozil

He said the same about Nasri, Abedayor, Van Persie, Fabregas and they were all sold a matter of weeks later

Alexis will go to Man City
Ozil will go to Barcelona

Stan Kronke the American who owns Arsenal has a TV channel in the US which is all about shooting animals in the wild. Not shooting them as in making a film but actually killing them. Disgusting.
