When he joined up with Plymouth most people said that they would be relegated. If they don’t get rid of him soon then they will go down. Plymouth is pretty big with a population of around 269k and although in Devon, on the border with Cornwell so the club is the closest for all those people to come and support although the ground holds around 18k which is sold out

Where do I start?

Imagine being a young kid and you have have been a Plymouth fan for 3 years Just starting out when Plymouth have turned the corner or you have been a fan for 10/20/30 years or maybe even as long as 40 years or maybe 50 or 60 years either watching from afar or attending the matches.

Each win is a joy because you know that your club is struggling with a run down stadium only 5 thousand coming to matches and stuck down in league two yet as each season comes and goes your team, in this case Plymouth survive. In fact they came so close to relegation out of the football league some years ago only for their goalkeeper to save them by scoring a last minute winner yin the last game of the season at Carlisle United. The struggle continued then they won promotion to league 1 and after a few seasons of trying made it to the championship and remained there for a few seasons went into administration and after two successive relegations found themselves in league 2 again. 8 years ago the were promoted to league 1 got relegated and came up again. In 22/23 they gain promotion back into the Championship. They managed to stay up.

So onto this season. Who on earth was sitting in their office and thought “here’s an idea let’s get Wayne Rooney to manage our team” Yhe same Wayne Rooney who could not cut it in the MLS, the same Wayne Rooney who got Birmingham City relegated after taking over when they were 6th and got the boot when they were 18th and who won only a handful of games under his stewardship, yes that Wayne Rooney the brilliant former Everton, Man United and England super star. Well if Rooney could play like that surely he is a top class manager. How wrong can you be

Today Plymouth sit rock bottom of the championship and look almost certain to go down unless they remove Rooney and bring in somebody that knows how to manage.

I feel for those faithful fans sitting at home hoping that somebody at the club has the good sense to do the obvious as there may not be a way back for this famous old club

He must have a very expensive contract that Plymouth cant afford to pay out or he has backers in the club. Cause he is just not up to the job.

He earns £500k I forgot that he also managed Derby County and had a 28% win record at Birmingham City was 13 and now at Plymouth it’s even less at 12% 51 goals already conceded and it’s only half way through the season.

At last Plymouth have come to their senses and have sacked Rooney. You should have a bet on them beating Bristol City tomorrow

25 managers sacked of the 92 so far this season. Some more than once already.

Todays game Man Utd vs. Liverpool IS worth being positive as a united supporter. 2-2 better result than i expected.

I am surprised Spurs stick with their manager.
Man Utd new coach also not getting up to speed quick enough. Not good enough.

Swansea and Derby also showing restraint.

Exeter coach is falling apart.

Bromley/Tranmere

It is with regret that Derby County have decided to relieve Paul Warne of his position.
