Black Monday.

I recall a rally against the attacks on farmers.it hasn't done much.
Can anyone answer why the sudden escalation of violence since 2017,82 murders and 423 attacks in ONE year. Is it government sponsored? Are the farmers protected?
Will the country be able to grow and harvest crops to feed the population?
It's a depressing topic I know and i apologise if it doesn't fit a horse racing forum, but farming and horse racing have gone hand in hand in the UK for centuries.

I don't think it was government sponsored, but I would say that the people in charge were probably more pre-occupied with raiding the cookie jar. The same scenario applies to many other situations (Life Esidimeni to name just one).
Hopefully this will now be more adequately addressed with the new regime taking over.

I'm willing to take a bet that JZ and his cronies will have their day in court.

True...it's slow. Apparently going after the Guptas first...they have nowhere to go...have agreements with various governments about extradition etc. Indian bank of Baroda going to submit all Gupta relevant info to SA authorities. The net is definitely tightening...I think they don't want to go in half cocked.
