Current drivers should not be included as all they do is sit there and the car does the rest ,imo Fangio should be considered the greatest , if u gave a modern driver his car would even be able to take the 1st corner

I agree the cars have changed drastically and its now almost a case of the best car winning the race as opposed to the best driver, but for me this new youngster on the block Max Verstappen, this boy can drive.

Irrespective of what car you are in, he has shown it on a few occassions now, the Red Bulls are unreliable in terms of the engines and although he has been starting way down the grid he almost always manages to get points.

Lewis is solid, Schumi had a car that could beat anything else on track in my opinion ... so in terms of drivers in my era I would go for Max in pure raw talent and fearlessness ...

Schumie, considering the teams he joined, were relatively "average", and then they became competitive as constructors. Today, 2 teams dominate, and the rest make up the numbers. If you took a second or third tier driver and put him in a Mercedes, then he'd probably make the podium more often than not. Schumie took both Bennetton and Ferrari to competitive levels.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

I also really like Max.
