Now I pose this question (and I do stand to be corrected as I seriously have a pet hate for Jantjies), but I really dont see why he is spoken up so much. People say what a great season he is having. Is he really? He is playing behind a pack that is totally dominating at provincial level and a backline that is dominating at provincial level, you seriously have to be piss poor not to look good. All of a sudden with a pack not totally dominating and a backline that isnt cutting shreds into opponents he is horse shit. SA will NEVER EVER be a force to be recond with if Jantjies is our pivot. Understanderbly Lambie went iff but Jantjies would not be in my D team.

Well it happened - and not that big a shock as some would have it - and Karma and CM recognized the fact that we were (are?) an unsettled team playing against a settled team who has been together a while now - so Ireland and 8/1 surely was the bet of the season.
I think we have to face it, the Springboks currently are not close to being world beaters - and while I think Coetzee is not really giving us the best chance with his selections, we are just not that good right now - and it also showed that Meyer did a brilliant job with a team that lack talent to get them to almost upset the mighty All Blacks in the World Cup final last year.
Going forward, if I were the coach / selectors I would start with the basics, and for me that means getting the combinations right; right now the Lions are the best SA team, so maybe start with what has been working for them - get a strong front row - I would think about getting both Lions props in with Strauss; then maybe Etsebeth and Du Toit as locks with Kriel, Whiteley and Vermeulen in the back row.
de Klerk played well and should be retained imo - and then you have to have Jantjes; or otherwise you need to go with van Zyl / Page and Brummer - but for me the Lions pair gives you more on both attack and defense. The centers are not straight forward, but for me as a combination, Mapoe and de Allende did not work - not sure if Kriel is the answer either, so we need some fresh thinking here. Mvovu had a good game imo and should retain his place, but for me Peterson now looks too slow to be an international wing and Ruan Combrinck surely has to be given a chance; le Roux sort of picks himself.
Only a few days to get things right, but hopefully we will see a far better performance this coming Saturday

I enjoyed and played Rugby ,not at a great level ,but at least got to Natal schools and Natal u20, trials, and lost out to the same guy in both ,but as the rules and selection process have changed I lost interest in rugby,as a game, completely.
I thought it was just me ,but was fascinated to hear Tommy Bedford say exactly the same ............hard to believe that he would rather watch soccer now!
I also have absolutely no interest in watching any team that is not picked on merit!!!!!!!

U know SA sports is farked when our mighty boks are shiat!
As well only the Almighty knows what will happen to cricket when AB and Amla retire.
As for bafana? Aparently they are the best team in africa even though they fail to qualify for afcon.
It is not just selection of teams and squads or coaches etc. its the idiots right at the top who think u play ruby with an off shape football and play cricket with a tennis ball who has messed up SA sport.

Transformation................from school level. That is why there is absolutely no depth in any of our team sports.
Transformation...............at senior level. That is why players of quality with years left in them, to help break the newbies in and share their knowledge with them are overseas.
Transformation...............at coaching level. Well fcuk me say no more.
Transformation................at management level. Well fcuk me say no more.
Politics/money/sports/fcuk up !!
Sponsorships of losing teams.........bye bye money/bye bye transformation/bye bye our sports teams. Would be great to say bye bye politics as well but we know that wont happen.

I see Ireland with 11 points start at 9/10 ?
Am I missing something
I don't know much about team selection etc but I am just basing on 15 vs 15 for the full game
Good punting
