I was speaking to a current Scottish international this afternoon in the village shop and he said that they are very disappointed that the Boks are not playing them this autumn as they feel that they could beat them.

If there ever was any doubt that this current 'management' setup has any clue, they have just removed it by naming the team :(

I agree with many that there is no way that the 'Boks should be favorites - what does Coetzee hope to accomplish with Lambie at fullback ......and Paige is not even the Bull's first choice

Would be happy to eat my words come 19:00 tomorrow evening, but somehow I doubt it :( :( :(

So let me look at this logic...
Lamb i.e. Has just come back from concussion after how long.. Received while trying to take a high ball??? Now you stick him at full back, where his job is to do what?.?
No regard for his safety, if I was Aussies I would kick high at him all night and see if he has the bottle...

playing Lambie at fly half is one thing but playing him at fullback is a whole other story . Has been know to try and tackle (to his own detriment ) but I have no confidence with him as the last line of defence . He will be bombed all night , so lets see how long he copes . Boks with Steyn at flyhalf will be playing "old style " kick and chase rugby and wont be great to watch but the 10 man game may be the only chance they have of winning

should be a close match with the Boks just edging it.

Fly, I dont disagree with you re Lambie playing full back, imvho I wouldnt be playing him this series. We have nothing to gain, so why risk losing him for end of year tour through another concussion/injury? Just that he did not get concussed while receiving a high ball, he was kicking the ball :)

I think the coach is willing to risk anyone to get that win and take the pressure off himself.

nowadays the Boks have nothing to gain wherever and whomever they play against, unless its against the team who have South Africans, Kiwis, Aussies, Tongans and Samoans in their team. Its like SA playing the rest of the southern hemisphere when they play against England.
