I'm one of those 'fickle supporters'
I agree somewhat with Chicken - at least we won
And we had to make do with a re-shaped back-line because of injuries to Paige, Jesse Kriel and Habana - resulting in Jaco Kriel having to move into the backs - still not sure who played where in the final quarter - was le Roux at fullback, or Lambie? And who replaced Jesse Kriel in the midfield - very confusing; so no wonder that we again looked quite lost on attack and luckily the Aussies made so many handling errors that we managed to keep them at bay for long periods.
But ........I think we can't afford to go in with only 2 backs as reserves, many other teams would have scored a few tries against us, so pick your 'best available' to do duty up front and 4 reserves who can be brought on as 'impact' players later in the 2nd half. And don't even replace the backs (unless forced by injury or if you really need to change the game plan) - surely as a coach you must know by now what you think your best combination is - so just pick them and stick with them the whole game.
Steyn really did little wrong and at least kept us in the game with his drop goals - the problem is of course that we have now reverted back to the style of rugby that we played under Meyer - so imo we are just putting the inevitable shift to modern rugby on hold.....would it not be better to bite that bullet now and play Lambie at fly-half and get a few centers into the mix that are capable of making the opposition guess what is going to happen next?
Will be interesting to see what the team selected for this coming Saturday will look like, as Paige is not available and maybe Jesse Kriel and Habana will also be forced out - not sure what to expect as the selectors still seem unconvinced on their best options (one week de Jongh is dropped from the squad and playing for WP and the next week he is in the starting line-up again)
Unfortunately no matter who gets the nod, imo we still will be eating humble pie again on Saturday - the only question by how many points we will lose - I personally would feel a lot happier if we at least give them a go and lose by 30 points trying to play some rugby, than lose by 10 points with 2 drop goals and 4 penalties

The ABs are closing in on a world breaking 18 straight wins. What more motivation do the Boks need to stop them in their tracks

Boet we dont have the centers with skills of old. Big guys with little or no ball sense and speed. How many can break a line on the outside ? Not one ! Size size and more size doesnt matter if you have fuck all skills. We have no speed in the backline not even on the wings. Our depth is non-existent caused by politics at school level over the past 10 years +. Lets not even talk about our coaches, wtf ? Where to from here......DOWN

We get a penalty advantage with 3 sure points coming - what does steyn do? He scores a drop goal !?!. Why not at least put in an effort to score a try?
Brainless fucking play.

AB scrum half Aaron Smith suspended for the match as he went into a toilet with a woman at Christchurch Airport

Next week sure bet: All Blacks by 30 points.
That was easy money
