Andrew Fortune up for a suspension ?

I had the good fortune to go racing at the Big T yesterday, first time for a while.

My runner in the 6th, the old man had the obligatory shit draw and again had to carry a sack of coal as well as a jockey for his exploits on the race course 3 years ago. However, I could have been minus a horse due to the move pulled by Andrew Fortune when he cut us up and endangered half the field with a dangerous move on the corner to try to get a better place from a wide draw. Aftre the race I heard at least 3 other jockeys complaining about the move. I wonder if Andrew has another 2 week suspension coming to him.

My runner in the 8th is graded to be one of the last to be loaded at the start yet was the first in and consequently stood and became restless. When the gates opened she was left at least 5 lengths. When this was pointed out to the starter after the race he said he would change her grading ( bear in mind this is impossible as her grading is already the worst) but everything is OK as he said Sorry. I am sure those that backed her will feel much better at reading this.

It is little wonder that people are leaving racing in their droves.

Gajima nice to have cleared things up,but you are correct with your thoughts. That book of 101 reasons could change to 201 reasons, tough game for owners.

I believe he got 7 days suspension for a move that caused najor interference to half the field, including causing one horse to hit the rails. Not enough in my opinion.

At approximately the 1100 metre mark ROSTOV (M van Rensburg) eased off the heels of KINGDOM COME (ARG) (G Wrogemann), who struck the inside running rail. Thereafter REBEL KNIGHT (A Fortune) shifted inwards, carrying in FAIR BRUTUS (*R Curling), which resulted in WOODLAND BLAZE (K Jupp) having to ease. As a result of this FIRST UP (*J P van der Merwe) was carried inwards onto ERAGON (D David), who struck the running rail and was forced to check.
Jockey A Fortune signed an Admission of Guilt for the contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FAIR BRUTUS (*R Curling), WOODLAND BLAZE (K Jupp), FIRST UP (*J P van der Merwe) and ERAGON (D David) at approximately the 1100 metre mark whilst riding REBEL KNIGHT. He was suspended from riding in race meetings for a period of one week.

ERUPTION– slow, losing 4 to 5 lengths. Trainer G B Scott was advised to re-school this filly (CAN YOU APPEAL THIS?)

Just proves that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. The starter made the error and as usual the stipes blame the connections.

Andrew Fortune does pull some strange moves at times but this is only beacuse he really wants to win. Sure he must be penalised for doing this but at the same time lets give him ctredit for being a bloody good jockey. If I had horses I would have him on mine anyday!

Andrew must refreign from riding with the grooms.......?
ride in races where Striker, Delpech, Marcus, and the real jockeys ride.....then we will not have this kind of trouble...
perhaps he can open a riding school for the UK grooms (jockeys)..
teach Seb Sanders to change a whip in riding...perhaps start him off on a bycicle down the main road..
teach Falon what the concept of balance is..
Mulleran ....to get fit and ride the horse past the post..not give up 200m before because he backed the lenghts (over at 11/4)
they dont want to listen to Richard Hughes.....
