Phumelela is delighted to announce that two members of its executive management team have been appointed to the board.
John Stuart, Director International Marketing and Sales, and Betting Executive Vee Moodley have been appointed International Executive Director and Betting Executive Director respectively.
Stuart has worked in the tote industry since 1979, when he joined the then TAB KwaZulu-Natal as Internal Auditor. He went on to become Assistant General Manager and joined Phumelela in 1997 as Business Development Manager. After occupying various roles in the organisation, he took over the International Division in May 2006.
Moodley was Group Accountant of the PMC group of companies in Pinetown before making a career change in 2003, when he successfully applied for a position on the National Horseracing Authority (NHA) Handicapping Panel. An avid horseracing fan since his school days, he was later promoted to the position of Racing Control Manager, the second-highest post at the NHA. He joined Phumelela as Betting Executive in July this year.
