Another mushroom day for punters in PE in the last race horse nr 2 declared tote favourite drifting from 10-1 to 16/1 befor the off price on tote shortens from 21 to 4-40 3 minutes before the off in a pool of 110000 it means at least 30000 was wagered on this horse on the tote and no it couldnt be a all to come onto the horse because it opened up at 21 for a win it also paid more for a place than for a win on the tote who is manipulating the pots?????????????NR 8 who was sratched carried 14 p6 tickets and the winner PERESTROIKA carried 14 tickets get a new tote favourite and the 14 tickets on the scratched horse goes missing how much bullshit must punters still take and the so called bright oaks think we will keep on eating their sucking stories

Bignic, I cannot agree with you more. Something stinks on the tote! too many of these incidents in the last few weeks. Hard to believe that the tote does not only make a shitload of money, but they stuff us poor punters around as well.

......no not a result of an ATC bet.....the short odds would have manifested on the tote as the screen opened up.....blatant late money for sole purpose of tampering of TF......happened twice today Port Curtis.....average joe punters are in for a hiding and it should be suggested that monitoring should take place to try and put a stop to these massive discrepancies.....failing this the operators will drive the ever dwindling punters to a new game....(td).

A question comes to mind: have there been ridulously priced favourites like this (eg. 16/1) that have NOT won or finished in the money?

Looking at the screen that Shayne's put up, it is only the win pool that seems to be manipulated as all other payouts seem reasonable compared to the horses odds.

Is the win pool the only pool that is co-mingled?

My question is do they not have fixed odds betting in Oz? Because if I wanted to place R10,000 or R15,000 on a horse I would do it on the tote into a R70,000 pool as would be putting between 14 and 22 percent of the pool. If the horse is 16/1 my be would, assuming no one else backs this horse, already make it pay R5 to R6 a win. Unless someone has money to burn it doesn't make cense placing a bet like that as you would get no value.

This is happening from either stupidity or the tote trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

Ah, Shrek has posed pretty much the same question as I did in the other thread at almost the same time.

Thanks Bignic. We tend to talk about the winners or near winners, hence my question. Yes, I see that horses like Gotham Prince have lost with these strange odds.

Last Race of the day.If you running in P6 with say field. May be worth 30k to change the tote fav to eliminate the scratchings carried for by making a no hoper the fav.

Nit sure of pick 3 rules but could also apply.
